Refund & Cancel
Cancelling
Section titled “Cancelling”In Settings → Billing → Cancel subscription. Cancellation is effective at the end of the current billing period — you keep paid features until then.
Refund policy
Section titled “Refund policy”Engram’s refund policy is reproduced in full on the marketing site refund page and is the canonical source. Short version:
- Within 30 days of first payment — full refund on request, no questions
- After 30 days — refunds at our discretion; usually granted for service issues, declined for buyer’s remorse
- Annual plans — pro-rata refund on the unused portion
To request a refund, email support@engram.page with your account email and the charge you want refunded.
What happens to your data after cancellation
Section titled “What happens to your data after cancellation”After cancellation:
- Grace period (30 days post-cancel) — your vault stays intact and reachable. Resubscribe and pick up exactly where you left off.
- Soft-delete (day 30 → day 60) — vault is marked for deletion
but data is retained. An admin can restore via the
mix engram.users.undeletetask during this window. - Hard-delete (after day 60) — data is removed from active storage. Backup snapshots eventually age out as well.
If you cancel and change your mind during the grace period, just resubscribe in the web app and your vault is back exactly as you left it.
Recovering after auto-delete
Section titled “Recovering after auto-delete”Once data is hard-deleted (after day 60), it is not recoverable — backup snapshots age out and there’s no self-serve recovery. If you’re still inside the soft-delete window (days 30–60), email support@engram.page and we’ll undelete on a best-effort basis. After hard-delete, you can re-signup with the same email (Clerk identity persists) and start a new vault.
What we never delete during a tier change
Section titled “What we never delete during a tier change”Cancellation and tier downgrade are different actions. Downgrading to Free never triggers deletion. Only an explicit cancellation starts the deletion clock.
